There's a new statistical category that I'm sure will soon appear on the pitchers' resumes. It could be called “games surrendered.” Yes, it sounds fun, you'll see—although it's quietly being presented as a new chaos theory.
You probably have a clue by now. Chaos has become a trend, and we're increasingly seeing managers leaving their starting pitchers to take punishment, even though it looks like their opponents are in the middle of batting practice. I'm concerned that this is still happening more than usual.
